The life of Philippe Dayan five years after the Bataclan attacks, after the first confinement in 2020. The psychoanalyst puts his therapeutic processes to the test with four new patients: Ines, a solitary lawyer with a tidy life, Robin, young overweight teenager victim of school bullying, Lydia, a student who came to share dark news about her state of health and Alain, a business manager in media turmoil... Divorced, sued by the family of one of his former patients, Dr. Dayan turns to Claire, a high-profile analyst and essayist whose support he hopes for the ongoing trial.

Listening to these upended lives, the emotional earthquake that unleashes within him is unprecedented. In an attempt to escape, he reconnects with his former analyst, Esther, with whom he had cut ties for nearly 12 years.
