Nova experienced a challenging early life, moving frequently due to various circumstances, including an apartment explosion caused by a meth lab in her childhood home. She spent her formative years in downtown Los Angeles, primarily in the Compton area, before relocating to Canada when she was 12 years old. Her father, an undocumented immigrant from Canada, secured a job in his home country, prompting the family's move. Nova grew up in a strict household, where she was homeschooled for a significant portion of her education before attending a Catholic private school in Canada. Academically gifted, Nova possesses what is known as an eidetic memory, which allowed her to excel in her studies. She graduated from high school at 16 and earned a Bachelor's degree in Honors English Literature and Professional Writing, with a minor in Business Marketing, by the age of 18. She went on to complete a Master's degree in Business Economics with a minor in Marketing and a double minor in Business Administration at the age of 20. As of 2024, she is pursuing a PhD in World Economics with minors in Business Marketing and Business Management. Throughout her life, Nova has been open about her sexual experiences and early sexual activity, which she described as beginning in her early teens. Before entering the adult industry, she estimated her number of sexual partners at over 300. Nova's entry into the adult industry began in her early 20s, following a brief stint in phone sex work and stripping during the COVID-19 pandemic. Disillusioned with career paths and inspired by her sex work, she decided to pursue a career in pornographic films.
