Of Irish, Scottish, and Italian descent, Bryce was the daughter of Howard and Karen Johnston as well as the sister of brother Matthew. Hunter graduated from Frazier High School in Pittsburgh in 1998. Bryce majored in both non-fiction writing and English Literature at the University of Pittsburgh, which she graduated from with an advanced degree in literature in 2003. Hunter worked in retail, real estate, and marketing prior to starting out in the adult entertainment industry in Florida in 2007. Hunter died at age thirty from complications from alcoholism on April 12, 2011 in Los Angeles, California.
